Friday Update

Hello students!

We made it through our first week of online instruction and quarantine.  Hooray!  There was no daily lesson today. Monday will be a pretty easy day. I will have one assignment for you based upon the two days of chapter 15 lecture you did this week. All assignments from this week will still be accepted next week. Right now all due dates will be very flexible. For next week all due dates will be the end of the week.

I just want to take a moment to thank all of you for all of your hard work, perseverance, and maturity. I am so proud of all of you!  The challenge of attending classes online with substantial. I have been learning to teach this new format as I'm sure you've been learning how to attend school in his new format.  We are all learning and adapting together, so thank you for your patience, understanding, and great attitude!

I am sure next week will also be a challenge as we have yet another new platform and sets of expectations to adapt to. Please understand that I will probably make mistakes and I will be understanding of yours as well. We will get through this together. Once again I am so proud of all of you.

Keep calm and study on!

AP Online Quiz / Submitting Homework

Hello Students!

First let me say thank you for all your effort and understanding in this time of adjustment.  I am proud of all of you and will be working hard to make this work to the best of my ability.  As of now (1:30 pm Wednesday) I see that almost half of you have completed the online quiz.  Good job!  Some of you are experiencing problems downloading the secure browser.  Here is a link to an online guide about how to download and use the browser:

http://media.academicmerit.com/apclassroom/InstallingtheLockDownBrowserforAP%20Classroom.pdf

If you can complete the quiz, please do so.  If not, I will provide an alternative quiz later this week or early next week.  Please do not stress!  I will be understanding and extend deadlines as necessary to be fair.  Also, please keep checking this web page, as I will be adding notes and instructions as I read your emails and brainstorm solutions.

Starting tomorrow I will ask you to submit assignments and homework through Google Notes.  Yes, please now type up assignments as that will probably be the easiest way / format for me to grade going forward.  I prefer word documents or PDFs.  Some students may not have word, if so, and if a student has the ability and knowledge of how to scan and convert the file into a PDF, then that format should work as well.

We are all learning and adapting together, so thank you for your patience, understanding, and great attitude!

Keep calm and study on!

Your fearless leader, Mr. (King ;) )Curtice
